This page is dedicated to the technology integration project. For this project I got in a small group with two other education majors where we made up a weeks worth of lesson plans all utilizing and using different forms of technologies devices and systems for teaching. The goal of this project is for us to learn how to incorporate different types of technologies into our future lesson plans. This will help our students learn in a more interactive way. Some of the technologies we used were podcasting, smartnotebook software, inspiration/kidspiration, document cameras, iMovie, and much more.
Tori, Erin, and I collaborated to create a week of 1st Grade Math lessons. Our PASS standard we focused on was Standard 4 that reads:
"Standard 4: Measurement—The student will develop and use measurement skills in a variety of situations.
Linear Measurement: Measure objects with one-inch tiles and with a standard ruler to the nearest inch.
Time:
Tell time on digital and analog clocks on the hour and half-hour
Money: Identify and name the value of pennies, dimes, nickels, and quarters."
Individually, Tori focused on money, Angela focused on linear measurement, and I focused on telling time.
Monday: Measuring with a Ruler with Angela
My lesson plan incorporated measuring length with a ruler using a podcast.
Here is the other link I mentioned in my podcast where the students and parents can look into buying the book "Inch by Inch" and other books by Leo Lionni. http://www.amazon.com/Leo-Lionni/e/B000APV6Z8
Tuesday: Telling Time with Erin
Erin's lesson plan incorporated telling time using smartboard/notebook technology.
This is the worksheet that Erin will give to the students at their seats. It is the same as the notebook activity, but it is printable and in PDF form.

Below is the inchworm ruler the students will cut and color. They will also use this during the podcast.
This ruler is courtesy of the website http://kcsos.kern.org/schoolreadiness/stories/storyReader$57?print-friendly=true
This is a great website that has many different math activities that teachers can use for their students, including great measurement activities.
This is the worksheet I made for my students that they will complete during the podcast:
Here is my podcast I have created reviews measuring with a ruler
Below is the link I mentioned in my podcast that has great games for the students to practice their measurement skills.

Wednesday: Counting Money with Tori
Tori's lesson incorporated the smartboard and Kidspiration software to teach students the value of coins and how to add them. Here is her lesson plan:
Below is the counting money lesson plan which will be taught in class to show the students the individual values of the coins:
Below is the "student shopping center" Tori made. This contains items for the students to purchase use to complete their assignment:
She will also print off a PDF of the shopping center so the students can have a hand held copy as well:
Below is an example of a student's assignment after completing the shopping center activity:
Thursday: Money Review with all of us
After learning time we have decided to go over counting money as a review together.
This is my group's planning sheet for our lesson plan:
